Yes. Every gun has its own recoil pattern: it climbs and, for most guns, also pulls sideways. The pattern is mostly the same every spray, so it can be learned, but game updates and attachments change it.
Fast guns like the R-99 and guns with a strong sideways pull like the Flatline are among the hardest to control. The Havoc also kicks hard at the start.
The R-301 is one of the easiest guns to control: a small climb and very little sideways drift. SMGs like the CAR mostly climb straight up.
